Resistance band classes are in a circuit training format which helps to condition the cardiovascular system as well as strengthening specific muscle groups. Because resistance tubing is so compact and lightweight, it can be used anywhere.
Resistance tubing and resistance band exercises can be developed with very little additional equipment therefore all exercises taught in this format are easily adapted to other equipment in the gym. Or visa versa. Because of this reason this free class (for members) is a perfect place to start learning and achieving your fitness goals on a limited budget.

Wall and Mat Pilates
Pilates is a physical fitness system developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates in Germany. Pilates called his method Contrology because he believed his method uses the mind to control the muscles. The program focuses on the core postural muscles which help keep the body balanced and which are essential to providing support for the spine. In particular, Pilate's exercises teach awareness of breath and alignment of the spine, and aim to strengthen the deep torso muscles. Mat Pilates is becoming increasingly popular. An individual's core strength is garnered as resistance to increase flexibility and further develop the core muscles.
Pilates uses a combination of resistance training, body weight training, and core training to achieve its goals .
Spin Class (Group Cycling)
Typical class involves a single instructor leading the participants through routines designed to simulate terrain and situation similar to riding a bike outdoors. Some movements and positinons include hill climbs, sprints and interval training. Our well-trained instructors use music, motivation and enthusiastic coaching to lead students through a ride that best suits their fitness level and goals. Most instructors lead what is called an interval ride, where students sprint, run, climb and jump withouth any definable pattern to the excercises. Each individual chooses their own goal for the session. Some choose to maintain a moderate, aerobic intensity level while others drive their heart rates higher in intervals of anaerobic activity. Besides being a great form of aerobic activity (burning between 400-600 calories in forty minutes), indoor cycling is also beneficial in strengthening the muscles of the lower body, toning and tightening the quadrriceps and hamstrings, working the back and hips.

Yoga has evolved and in the Modern world, a part of yoga, known as Asana has grown popular as a form of purely physical focusing of flexibility and isometric balanced strength exercise.
Yoga is a healing system of theory and practice. It is a combination of breathing exercises, physical postures, and meditation, practiced for more than 5,000 years.
Often times, yoga classes can be up to 20 or 30 practitioners led by one instructor. There isn't a whole lot of personal attention or opportunity for adjustments for injuries or flexibility level. Our group classes are limited to 12 people to allow for modifications and prevent common pulls, strains and incorrect form due to poor instruction or lack of attention. You will quickly begin to see beneficial results in stress reduction, flexibility and concentration - with many more benefits with practice!
